Real estate, construction and town planning
Vaughan Avocats has a team dedicated to handling real estate, construction, joint ownership and town planning issues. Its lawyers have built a strong litigation practice in these areas. They also regularly provide advice on real estate transactions and act as property agents.
The team provides advice to the various stakeholders in construction projects (project owners, architects, engineers, technicians, contractors, sub-contractors) and its members appear regularly before the courts in matters of private law (District, Regional and Commercial Courts and the Court of Appeal). It has also successfully established an administrative procedure practice, which handles administrative appeals, appeals to higher courts, and litigation before the Administrative Court in town planning matters.
Deliberately positioning itself as a general “buildings” team, its lawyers cover all legal aspects of construction and property management, from pre-acquisition discussions until completion of the work, including assistance with any post-completion disputes.
The practice also has much experience in handling commercial leases (drafting of leases, disputes between owners/leaseholders, lease renewals, rent review procedures, etc.) and issues of joint ownership and building permits, which enables an in-depth understanding of, and effective response to, the needs of its clients who include companies, developers, builders, surveyors, estate agents and property management companies.
